Support and setup of the Sound Blaster Pro Audio Card on
Solaris x86.

Problem: What release supports the Sound Blaster Pro Audio
card and what are it's settings.

Answer: The Sound Blaster Pro audio card is supported by
Solaris x86 to provide audio capabilities for applications
and DeskSet utilities. The adapter is shipped with the
interrupt line jumpered to IRQ7. If the system also has a
parallel port labeled LPT1, then an IRQ conflict exists.
The Sound Blaster Pro must be jumpered to use another IRQ
that is not in use by any other adapter, such as the network
adapter. Use IRQ 2, 5 or 10.

Note that changing the IRQ number on the Sound Blaster Pro
requires the board to be removed from the system. Be sure to
record the new IRQ setting, because you will need to assign
it to the Sound Blaster Pro during the device configuration
process of the Solaris installation.
