Inject 0.83 - FREEWARE

Injecting a file in a disk image
Extract is a file in disk image injection utility. An image is a file which
contains all the floppy data (file, FATs, boot sector, directory...). You can
create an image file with WinImage (a Windows 3.1 or Windows NT
shareware I wrote which create and manage image file, and has a
superset of DOS Extract and Inject functionnality) and a lot of Dos
based disk copy utility : Wimage (in FdFormat utility) from C.H. Hochsttter,
DrDos 6 diskimage utility, DCF (Disk Copy Fast) from Chang Ping Lee,
internal disk Microsoft and Lotus image utility and MFMT sample Windows
NT application given with Windows NT SDK.

INJECT.EXE is the MSDOS version
INJECTNT.EXE is the Win32 console version for Windows NT

I have made 3 product for using image :
- Extract : with PKUNZIP-like syntax, extract file from image
- Inject : with PKZIP-like syntax, inject file in image
- WinImage : a very very powerful Windows tools, with a	large
superset of Extract and Inject function, which copy floppy,
read image, extract and inject file, with a true Windows interface
(3D-look, drag&drop client AND server...)

Extract and Inject are Freeware. WinImage is a $20 shareware

The WinImage 1.11 FILE_ID.DIZ is :
*WINIMAGE 1.11:POWERFUL WINDOWS DISK COPY TOOL
*--> RUN IN BACKGOUND, WORK ON DISK IMAGE <--*
make disk image from floppy, extract file from
image, make an empty image, inject file on it
and put the image on blank disk. TRUE WINDOWS
APP: Toolbar,status Bar,3D-look, drag & drop
client and server. 2 versions: for Windows 3.1
and for WINDOWS NT. NEW in 1.1 : Change image
format, defragment, delete file on image and
BETTER USABILITY. French & US version.

The inject syntaxe is :

Inject - Inject file in wImage - V 0.83a (c) 1992 Gilles Vollant
Usage: Inject <image file> [<Files names>] [-Fnnn] Add Files on an image
image file : name of image where you want add files
Files names: files you want add
-Fnnn : size of image you want create (360,720,120,144,172...)

Example :
You have AA.ZIP, AB.ZIP and PKUNZIP.EXE is the current directory.

By select :
C:\REP>INJECT IMA -F144 A*.ZIP PKUN*.*
you create an image of an 1.44 floppy with the 3 file on it.
You can use WinImage or an other disk copy tool (DCF, Wimage...)
to put the image on the floppy.
With WinImage or Extract, you can look at the image directory.

If you find Inject useful, try WinImage. You can download
WinImage on CIS:WINSHARE Compuserve forum, on french WindowShare, Teaser
french minitel server, The Windows Manor BBS and DP-Tools french disk
vendor. WINIMAGE is a VERY BETTER software (in quality, in usability, in
english translation...) than Extract and Inject.
