I installed the product successfully under Dos. I got good compression and no
bugs. However, under windows I could not get to install. I do not know if this
is a
bug or not. Site ID 195

I had trouble running a communication program QL2Fax on the D drive. It ran
perfectly before stacking. Once on the D drive an error message came saying
that it could not be loaded and the C prompt then appeared. When switched back
to the C drive the program again ran both in Dos and in Windows.

Don't really know which topic this should go in, so I chose here.

I have acquired a Compaq SCSI Compression card and a DAT drive to fit on the
end of it.

There's a big fat STAC chip on it, so I kind of assume Stac Electronics have
got something to do with it :-)

My question is this: Is there an ASPI driver available to enable me to use this
card in DOS? It was designed for ArcServe, so I guess it's a bit of a tall
order, but I'm tearing my hair out trying to get this DAT drive working.

ANY help gratefully received (including a telephone number for Stac in the USA)

Cheers,

I renecently saw some information on a new (?) toolkit that provies LZS
compression. From my understanding, it does not require stacker, it is product
independant. Where can I obtain more information such as benchmarks, calling
conventions, language compatibility, pricing and restrictions, etc.
